How to permanently make finder columns as wide as longest filename in Mac OS Sonoma

Right click on column tab, gives you few options. I just figured this out, been looking for years on how to do. Hopefully it stays changed when I reopen windows...

I have never had the Finder adhere to any of those described methods.

Nothing distinct about Sonoma in this regard.
