Going to be problems....like no go....if the backup was made using an iPhone model that is a newer model than the replacement that you received.


Even if you received the same model of phone as a replacement, if the "old" phone was running a higher iOS version than the "replacement" phone, things get a lot more complicated. In general, you have to update the iOS version on the replacement phone, then erase the phone and start all over again with a new setup.


Can you clarify on some details?


If this all sounds too intimidating, it would be wise to take the replacement phone in to an authorized Apple Service shop for some help.
