I'm unsure if the presentation clicker I need will be compatible with MacBook Air

I'm really confused about whether a presenter clicker that is supposed to be compatible with my MacBook Air will really be compatible with the Thunderbolt USB 4 port. Can anyone recommend a clicker that will work?

Right and middle click not working with Mighty Mouse on iMac So, the new iMac M4 does not like the USB Mighty Mouse. It connects but right click and middle click do not work. Scrolling and left click work as they should. System Settings -> Mouse only shows options for the Magic Mouse. This is different from my Intel based MacBook Pro that does recognize it and shows all options in the Mouse Systems Settings (360 degree scrolling, options for left, right and middle click etc.) Both machines are on MacOS Sequoia 15.2.
