Keynote, sorting photos for a slideshow presentation

Usually when I create a slideshow in Keynote; I add a pile of photos from Apple Photos  into a Keynote slide and start sorting them chronologically. When done, I add a view/hide animation to each photo.

There could be up to 50 photos per slide.

This is usually a heap of manual job.

I have not found it possible to select (click-mark) photos in Apple Photos in a certain order that get's the stack imported in same order to the Keynote's slide.

If anyone out there stumbled on this issue before and can share a shortcut it will be highly appreciated.

Furthermore, I usually drag the photos between these applications and if there's an other way that could eases my work hints on this will also be highly appreciated.

Furthermore I am writing on a suggestion of improvement to Apple Keynote where I would like to have the possibility to find and sort pictures in a Keynote slide based on the metadata.

My 2nd question to any Keynote specialist "out there"; Does metadata follow the photo export from Photos to Keynote?

Hints to ease my photos handling process in Keynote will be highly appreciated!
