Create contact from Maps

Haven't found this information elsewhere. It is straightforward once you know how to do it, but it certainly isn't at all clear in the UI.

IOS 17.0.3

Search for an address or business. When you find it choose "share". It gives you a list of the different ways to share as always, but in the lower panel it has "create new contact". It will create a new contact and leave you in edit mode. If it was a named location (e.g., "Safeway") that will be filled in but you can change it.

Adding a new Contact from Apple Maps has changed Apple Maps on the iPhone has recently changed the way in which you create a Contact. You used to tap the Ellipsis button and add or update a Contact that way. Now you have to hit the Share button and you’ll find the Add or Update Contact option there.

Enhanced Business Contacts no longer created from Apple Maps on iOS 16? On iOS 15 you can ceate a contact from any buisness you look up on Apple Maps, and those contact entries will be an enhanced contact showing the same information that displayed when you searched on Apple Maps, Yelp Info, Menu to place an order, Map, etc. On iOS 16 it still shows those contacts as such, but when you go to add a new one from Apple Maps it just creates a standard contact with the phone/address and other data just as if you manually created it. Recreating that same contact on an iPad running iPadOS 15 will still create the enhanced maps contact. Are these being phased out, or is this a bug/oversight on iOS 16?

Add a business in Apple Maps to Contacts Since upgrading to iOS16, I am no longer able to look up a business in Apple Maps and save it to Contacts as I previously could. This used to be a distinct advantage over Google Maps for iPhone users. What’s happened? I can still add a business to my Guides, but I want to be able to save and use the contact details in Contacts. Is there a fix for this, please?
