Quickbooks for Mac 2019 Desktop version: Alternatives?

I just had my new iMac upgrade itself to Sonoma - and it is not allowing my Quickbooks Desktop version to open; it crashes.

Is there a good, solid desktop alternative to QB 2019 that will allow similar or even more robust bookkeeping? I understand they don't make it anymore, so apparently I need to get a different software altogether.

QB for Mac Online is not acceptable to me, as I regularly work in locations with no internet access - plus, their online version is embarrassingly cumbersome compared to desktop version. Many thanks!

Before jumping ship to a new app please check to see if Quickbooks has any updates available, they may.

Most of what's available is online. I missed the boat by not getting QB for Mac Desktop 2021, and have not been able to find that. I Really do not relish a learning curve or down time to "test" (my pejorative for a mistake I might make) an app that deems itself inappropriate for my small business needs. I'm hoping to learn about an app that has proven similarly effective, if not more so, than the QB for Mac desktop app. I only dream of the day that I have time for that! Alas, things have been very busy for the past couple years, fortunately.
