How do you turn off the right hand column that appears in Apple Mail when you write a new message.
Since this morning, Apple Mail opens a narrow column window to the right of the page when I write a new message. How do you turn it off?

I figured out how to get rid of the fourth column in Apple Mail. By exiting the full screen mode, the far right, redundant column disappeared.
Very bizarre. Normally, when you write a new message you can see what you're writing in the 3rd column. In full screen mode, the 3rd column shows you the last email you received and the narrow fourth column that pops up is where you type your message.
