Setting ALARM volume separate from all other volume settings

I found some older information about this topic. Someone said if you use sleep tracking, then you can set your alarm volume setting separate from your other settings.

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and I’m running currently iOS 17 something something. I just updated it two or three days ago so that I could upgrade my Apple Watch.

I can’t find a way to set my alarm volume separate from my ringer volume or any other volume settings.

This is a really BAD user experience. Alarm volume is very important. So is ringer volume. We should be able to set these independently of each other and of any other volume settings on the phone. We should also be able to set our music or video volume settings independently of everything else. If android can do this, and they can - my husband has an android phone, then certainly Apple can figure out how to do this.

in any case, no, having sleep, tracking on does not appear to give me the ability to set my alarm volume separate from anything else.

Thank you. I did that and I can adjust my ringer separately from other sounds now but my alarm still seems tied to my ringer. I have put in my feature change request with Apple.

Hi TaleenaKoch,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you'd like to adjust your alarm sound separate from all other sounds on your iPhone.

Currently, you can adjust your alarm volume via Settings > Sounds & Haptics as outlined here: How to set and change alarms on your iPhone - Apple Support

"How to change the alarm's volume

  1. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.
  2. Under Ringtone and Alert Volume, drag the slider left or right to set the volume. As you drag, an alert will play, so you can hear how the volume changes.
  3. Turn on Change with Buttons to use the volume buttons on your device to change the alarm volume.

Learn what to do if the alarm volume is too low or quiet."

Feel free to share any features you'd like to see with Apple directly here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple

Take care!
