Premium SMS

From some days, I can't receive Premium SMS messages, like authentication codes from different apps or auth codes from my Bank or even messages from my carrier. I discussed with my carrier and they told me that I need to insert my sim card in an android phone in order to activate Premium SMS messages and then I will receive them. Why iPhone doesn't have this setting?

Hi george-sandor,

iPhone can send and receive SMS and MMS messages to another phone. Currently, iPhone doesn't support any other SMS protocol outside outside of the normal SMS protocol. This includes Premium SMS protocols and RCS.

The reason that Apple may not be supporting these features could be due to their security risks and user experience factors.

However, Apple devices do support iMessage (an instant messaging service developed by Apple).

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Many thanks!

This is not helpful for my issue, I can't receive authentication codes from all the apps, including my banking apps! What user risks? I need to make transactions from my bank app and I can't receive the code to login in my app. iPhone needs to have this setting to be activated like android does, now I have to go to my carrier shop in order to insert my sim in an android phone in order to activate this feature. It is not OK this!
