iMessage Red Voice Recording Symbol Won’t Leave
Cannot get the red voice recording symbol to leave. It only persists for this one contact. Every other contact/group shows the microphone icon like normal.

Red voice recording icon wo t go away and there is no microphone icon to switch to. That red voice recording keeps recording when I didn t turn it on. How do I get rid of it? Thanks

As crazy as it sounds this worked for me too. Enabling dictation worked!!
Try settings -general- keyboard - enable dictation and turn that off
This works. When the record icon is there there is no keyboard. Typing the number brings up a keyboard and you can now press the microphone button. Thanks
