See the following from Fast charge your iPhone - Apple Support

To fast charge, you need an iPhone 15 model with a USB-C cable like the one that came in the box or an earlier iPhone model with a USB-C to Lightning cable and one of these adapters:

  • Apple 18W,* 20W, 29W, 30W, 35W, 61W, 67W, 87W, or 96W, or 140W USB-C Power Adapter
  • A comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD)

Short answer: if it shows as charging, I think you should be fine. It’s recommended to use 20W or higher for fast charging on iPhone 15

It’s only recommended to use chargers that are MFI certified though (it might void the warranty or apple care etc, so be sure to look that up)

{The cable needs to be MFI certified or the phone won’t be able to charge with it anyway, at least, I’m pretty sure.}

But if you have no other way; I think it should be fine as a temporary solution, as the phone has built in limiters to ensure it won’t damage it. Just be sure to watch it closely while charging!!

{& lastly, Pro tip: I strongly recommend keeping your battery between 20-80%, as it helps your battery last way longer!!}

That is not what Apple says in their Apple Support article.

Which Cable to Use:

A. Going Brand-for-Brand:

Frankly, I always go Apple-for-Apple, though not required. It allows for dependability and reliability.

B. Fabric is More Robust:

As for a more robust cable, a third-party cable that is fabric might do the job. You'll find one at a local retailer, or online at Amazon.
