Keynote Presentation Audio Recording lost after crash

I recorded the audio of a 50 minute presentation for colleagues who couldn't be present. Used an external microphone for better sound quality.

Unfortunately at the end of the presentation I briefly closed the laptop without ending the recording. Keynote crashed, and after restarting Keynote, no recording was available.

Is there any way of recovering the audio recording?

Is the in-progress recording stored in a temporary location? If so, where?

I very much doubt it, but as a last resort try this:

1 - Open the Keynote file and go to: File > Advanced > Change filetype > Package

2 - save the Keynote file

3 - close Keynote

4 - right click the Keynote file and select: Show package content

5 - look in the Data folder to see if there is a file called audio recording

6 - if so drag it to the desktop and play back in Quicktime player to test if there is audio in the file

7 - if there is, add to a new Keynote project and copy over the other content from the original
