Airpod pro 2 issues

Hi

I just bought a new Airpod Pro 2 USB-C yesterday. It connected and shows on my Iphone 12Pro (Ios16.7.2) as linked to my account.


However I'm experiencing several issues:

1) Airpod Pro 2 Charging case not showing battery status on widget nor homescreen


2) I also noticed after 1st pairing to my iphone, at the end of the steps only shows connected and airpods battery status but not the case


3) I also notice in the Airpod settings the model name is shown as "ACCESSORY_MODEL_..."


4) When i put the left and right airpods back into the case, the lightning symbol only appeared on one of the airpods as charging and not both and the I remove one or the other airpods out of the case, the charging symbol remains on top of the same in widget


5) Neither airpods or airpods case are showing on Find my


I tried restarting iphone, re-pairing airpods, and still no luck.


Any advise?

Update:


After chatting with Apple Genius, it seems the only solution is to update to iOS17, which I did and all problems above resolved. Seems Airpods Pro 2 USB-C requires minimum iOS17 version
