My iPhone SE model number doesn’t start with A

What information can be learned from my model number MMY83LL/A? Where was it intended to be sold? What generation is it?


Whenever I see listings the model numbers start with A.

Wondering if there is some misunderstanding between part number, model number, serial number


Apple support's online article:

Find the model number of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

says:

Go to Settings > General > About. To the right of Model Number, you'll find the part number.

To find the model number, tap the part number.
