Since I updated my iphone 15 pro to IOS17.1, I noticed that when I tap the locked screen or pick up the phone, the screen takes a while to wake up. Turning off the device or restarting it only improves the problem for a few hours. Nothing works, I hope they improve this quickly, it's very annoying
My OS and my apps are clean installed and up to date and i still have the issue.
Force restart fix it just for few hours and after that it again takes whole 2 seconds between press and screen wake … it is just horrible when u know how it should be :/
On ios 17.0.3 there was that problem? Hovewer there is a delay also when arrive a notification, i can feel the ringtone and only 1 second after the lock screen on, i made the feedback to apple and i tried to be as precise as possible
i randomly had a black loading screen, it seems to fixed my earlier bug but sometimes on the Lock Screen there’s still a bug delay when I press on it but not a deal breaker it’ll be fixed. I just have more of CarPlay issues with the volume being half way up for some reason my phone and the most of the albums not showing but only a gray box
Any iOS update that you install, takes a couple of days to settle in your phone. So you won’t notice a different right away just miner bugs caused by the iOS working in the background. I hope Apple fixes the minor hiccups and we don’t experience the same issues we did with the iPhone 14 Pros.
That’s with CarPlay right? And only with CarPlay. And the other Apple Music bug there is with the albums sometimes it doesn’t even show it and it’s just looks like a gray box lol. I’m telling you these iOS bugs are hilarious
Mine’s delay problems got fixed when I switched to other wallpaper and it hasn’t returned since then. I recommend you guys just to switch between wallpapers instead of constantly restarting your phones.
I have been reporting this issue since all the way back in January (when i updated my 13 pro to ios16) through feedback, with video proof, attachment of the phone’s technical details, everything and not one got any updates whatsoever… they really do not care what’s happening with iOS at this point.
Ive recently taken notice to this issue as well. It takes around 2 seconds before the screen lights up after i press the power button, sometimes it would not turn the phone on at all. My first iphone after 10 years of android, so i feel like im used to bugs, but still very annoying. Hoping apple will take notice and release a fix.
I had the same problem today. Double tap, power button and turning the phone upside (which all turn the screen on) were taking 1-2 sec before turning it on. I have iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.1.1. When I restarted the iPhone now it's working properly but let's see if it will stay that way...
Yea I recently restarted my phone for the first time not force restart. I got it on November 1st so I decided to restart it so the phone and iOS can refresh itself and now my message notification is having issues lol where it doesn’t ring nor does the screen light up sometimes when I get a message. So many weird bugs and this happen also to my iPhone 14 Pro Max so it’s iOS bugs
(iphone 15 pro max - ios 17.1.1 )
YES! I am having the same problem and surprisingly i first noticed it on ios 17.1.1 , sometimes it takes me 4-5 taps for my iPhone to actually register that I am tapping it. However I have noticed it get better and not do it as much some days it doesn’t even do it even if I want it to- thankfully I have videos of it doing it if I ever need to show apple. and I have done all of the basics; and I don’t have tap duration on(apple said that they have seen the problem but with tap duration) I have tried force restarting my device, volume up volume down hold till apple logo, updating apps, turning tap to wake off and back on again(even though it was on in the first place) raise to wake off and back on again, my diagnostics pass the hardware test every time and my system software seems to be pretty stable. I still have yet to put this phone in recovery mode to see if it fixes the issue - how is the issue coming for you?
I m surprised how many glitches, bugs, errors on iOS. I switched from android (latest was Samsung s20 plus 5G) to iPhone 15 pro max. In 3 years of using Samsung I didn’t need to restart once, on iOS in less than a week at least 3 restarts.
Man i also switched from S20 not plus though but what i didn’t like about s20 is that it’s so frickin confusing that u’ve got 2 app store where some apps update thru play store and some thru galaxy store… and creating a simple pdf on s20 was like *** sweating job but here on iphone u dont even need to click shutter button, just go to files app and open the camera from there and turn the pages one by one and ur iphone will click and brighten the pages by itself and just press done at the end and voilà.. also in Netflix here brightness auto adjust on iphone so **** good but on S20 auto brightness doesn’t works on netflix.. and the sound is so fuller on iphone but on Samsung it lacks bass so u see where i’m going it not just that how many bugs u’ve got on a phone but it’s more about how much work u get out of ur phone and having an iphone made my life a lot easier, i literally save a lot of time coz my iphone does half of the thing’s for me before i ask it for🤷🏼♂️
Captured a video comparing wakeup of a 5 year old old SE 1st gen on iOS 15.7 vs my 13 pro on 17.1.2 showing the issue which has been present since iOS 16 and reported to apple multiple times.
I don’t think iOS 17.2 update fixed anything at all, CarPlay music is still messed up and sometimes my music albums don’t show and it’s a gray blank album and I have to start the song over again for it to fix itself. But that’s about it and some slow down.
