I upgraded to the new iPhone 15 pro max, but I'm having issues with the front-facing camera. Before I took the photo, it was fine, but when I saw it, my face looked darker, grainy, and blurry. I have compared it to my girlfriend's iPhone 12, and it appears that her phone does selfies much better. Does anyone face the same?

I am facing the same issue with my brand new 15 pro max 512 GB, I have found a way that fixes it. Going into the settings > Camera > photo mode > change to 12 mp.
The selfies on the 12 mp setting look a 100 times better than with the 48 mp option turned on. Hope this helps some of you guys! And apple please fix it, this is laughable stuff from such an expensive device
Helps a little but still. I paid too much money for the resolution to be worst than my iPhone XR
I just got my I phone 15 pro and I am not able to take any selfies in the dark I talk to Apple 2 times this last one ask why I would take a selfie in the dark ? Crazy question …. Then he says the front doesn’t have a flash but I don’t believe it either way I have an appointment at Apple on Thursday and if they tell me same thing going back to my 13 Pro ( Ridiculous) upset about this whole situation a new phone has a less option for selfies doesn’t make no sense
have tried every setting, and it's impossible to fix. after talking with several others with the issue, it appears to also be worth for people with dark skin complexion (asian, indian, african-american, etc) - totally graying out their skin and making them appear darker and ghoul-like. one would think apple would take care to make sure their cameras work on dark skin tones too.
It seems the issue has mass character. The only way to report that to Apple is feedback app, right?

Same issue with Iphone 15 Pro.
for everyone that still have an issue, i try to change the size to 4:3 and use wide, usually if its still be 7MP its cause u using 16:9 with wide and if without wide its gonna be 5MP.
