Returning frayed MacBook Adaptor

Need an Apple address to send back my defective MacBook Adaptor with its receipt. I have the receipt and have saved the defective one. I already bought a new one so I would like to receive credit for the old one but can not find an address for returns. Thanks

Frayed as in physically damaged? You’re not going to get credit for that. Toss it in the recycle bin. The warranty doesn’t cover physical damage.

Actually Apple has covered some issues like this before. In fact they had a free repair program....I'm not sure if it is still active or not for the Magsafe 2 power adapters with strained & fraying cables. I don't recall if it was a public or secret one, but we had some power adapters replaced for free long after the laptop warranty expired.

I doubt any of the USB-C chargers would be covered since their charging cable is separate and completely different. I guess the Magsafe 3 cable may have a similar issue as the older Magsafe 2 power adapter cables.

The OP will need Apple support to provide them with an RMA in order to get reimbursed. They will also provide the OP the instructions needed to return the defective item if approved. There won't be any reimbursement without prior authorization.
