Apple Watch Update 10.1

Unable to install the new update 10.1 on my Apple Watch. I shut both my watch and phone off. Turn the back on my phone has the correct update and this is the reply I get on my phone.

Unable to update my Apple Watch Series 7 to watchOS 26 I recently upgraded from my Apple Watch SE to an Apple Watch Series 7 about 2 weeks ago, everything went fine with pairing and connecting- But now I have found an issue with updating. Apple watch unable to check on software update Hello I completed the latest update on my iphone and Apple watch SE. When I went to check if the update was successful on my watch I received a message which reads: "Unable to check for update An error occured while checking for a software update." I did complete a software update on my iphone . I also tried restarting both my iphone and apple watch to see if I could check on the software update status. Please advise. Thank you
