even after a restart, Spotlight not working

This is happening on my brand new MB Air using macOS Sonoma 14.1. Any ideas how to fix it?

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 14.1

Thanks, I'll try that, but the odd thing is that the Command-Option-Space Bar shortcut works just fine.
