I think my phone has light water damage.

I recently took my phone into the shower, it barely got any water on it, possibly 3-4 drops. After I got out of the shower, the sound was fuzzy so I did a water vibration video and it pushed out a little bit of water and the sound went back to normal. Less than 5 minute later, the screen froze and turned off. I tried to turn it on but the screen would only glow, with no display. I check the water damaged strip in the SIM card tray and it says there is no damage. I put my phone in rice and it has been sitting in there for a day but no luck. Should I wait it out? I'm worried that if I go to get it checked, they will make me pay a lot unnecessarily. I have an iPhone 11. Thank you.

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Not only is rice a myth and bad to do, it can clog your charging port making it difficult to impossible to charge your phone. And pushing the lightning connector, only pushes the rice dust further in the port which may not be fixable.

You should schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options, which will likely include needing to replace your iPhone.

NEVER take it into the shower or get it wet.
