XR iOS 17 full screen caller photos on lock screen

I’m legally blind. I rely on photos of my contacts to show on full screen even when my XR phone is locked.  Now it seems that functionality is no longer available on iOS 17.   I can’t see who is calling when presented with the tiny circle photo.  If I’m wrong please help me find out how to reset that feature.  FYI, I have many contacts but no longer have the original photos used.  I know updates are necessary but significant changes make it difficult for visually impaired people. I memorize much of the steps required to navigate the functionality of each feature.  The contact photo/poster feature is complicated and complex given my disability. I hope the solution is an easy one.

I got mine to show on the iPhone XR, full screen incoming calls, by going into the contacts and choosing the person i wanted to add a photo for. Once there, click on edit and then click edit under the photo and your should see a screen that comes up with customize. If you click the “+” button you should be able to click on photos and add the photo,Memoji, or monogram of your choosing. Then click done. It should work. If not, you have to make sure that “Contact Photo & Poster” is not disabled on your card in the contact section. Hope this helps someone.
