MacBook Pro 14 inch 2022 Cooling system

Hi, I just got a MacBook Pro 14 inch m2 pro and I was wondering where the exit vent for the cooling system is? I know that air is supposed to come out the back but I don't actually feel any air exiting the computer. Is something wrong with it?

How can I optimize cooling for my Mac mini setup? I have enclosed my Mac mini m4, completely in a hard case that fits perfectly. The inside is a soft pad. However I’ve put it upside down so the fans are completely free for airflow (I just have a small external ssd on top of it). I thought this would be a perfect permanent setup for my Mac mini. But when working on some heavy tasks (programming in unreal engine) after some hour it got very warm… I thought it only needed the bottom free to keep cool. Is there something im thinking wrong here? MacBook Pro M4 very warm I recently purchased a new Pro M4. I use it on my lap while sitting on my sofa (partially disabled). I'm afraid that it is not getting enough cooling air as it gets quite warm. My previous MacBook did the same and the battery had to be replaced after only 3 years. The side air intakes are not being blocked, but the rear exhaust fan sometimes may be partially blocked by my legs. Does Apple suggest a cooling pad when using in this manner? I want to prevent over stress or damage to the new laptop.

Macbook air 2017 fan comes on real loud. Hi, My MacBook Air 2017 fan comes on real loud after about 10/15 minutes. I tried resetting the SMC. I opened up the back, checked vent that runs across the back. Seems to be clear and free of any dirt. I don't exactly understand when you put the back, back on now where the vent goes across the back is where to the 2 halves of the computer are hinged together. There is a plastic piece that runs across the back. It sort of blocks the vents, only a small space shows where air can get through. That's the way it is designed. I don't know what else I can do to keep it cooled and stop the fan from running so fast. Doesn't stop unless I close the lid or shut it off. Any advice would be appreciated.

The fans on the Apple Silicon Macs run at a very slow speed so you won't notice the air flow. Even when the laptop gets hotter I don't even hear the fan operating on my MBPro 14" (2023) model. The only time I have ever heard a fan on an Apple Silicon Mac is when the fan is running at high speed which has only occurred when running the Apple Diagnostics, or when a system stress test which utilizes all CPU cores at 100%, or when the laptop is having a hardware issue.

The air is vented out the back of the laptop near the display.
