As you want to sell your MacBook, please read the following Apple instructions, What to do before you sell, give away, trade in, or recycle your Mac - Apple Support

It is also helps to have that page open on another computer or tablet to refer to each step. Read all the links, to understand all the steps.

As your MacBook is from 2014, it doesn't have the T2 chip. As it is running Big Sur, read from here, "If your Mac doesn't have Erase All Content and Settings" Read all the links, to understand all the steps.

thank you for the prompt response.

Based on the steps mentioned by you, which partition should I erase?

Requirement Background: Actually I want to trade-off this MacBook. For that I want to perform a factory reset, so that all my data is deleted from this MacBook. But due to limitations it is not showing me option to factory reset. Unfortunately I don’t have awareness what and how to perform the reset.

Attached are the 3 screenshots that I am able to see after restarting the MacBook and holding COMMAND + R.

Your assistance would be highly appreciated.

thank you.
