Airpods 2nd gen. capped at 80 db, not playing louder

Hello,

for quite some time now (several years), my Airpods gen. 2 are playing only up to 80 db and not more on my personal iPhone. When I connect them to my Macbook, they are louder, when I connect them to another devices , they are louder as well. It is just on my iPhone that they are not exceeding that 80 db level. Paradoxically, when I put the Headphone Safety feature on to maximum of 100 db, the music is sometimes playing above the 80db mark (around 81-82db), but when I turn off this feature, Airpods cannot exceed 80. I probably turned on the Headphone Safety feature once in the past on former iPhone and former iOS, and it seems to transmit that feature even to new iPhones. @ncls_fcs community member seems to have the same problem and many people marked the question as "Me too", although I have not seen any convenient solution to this problem yet.

Perhaps someone knows the answer to it now? Any ideas? Thank you!

iPhone XS, iOS 16
