Apple Pencil nib won’t tighten

I dropped the pencil and the tip fell off, now it won’t stay on

As described, at the very least, the user-replaceable Pencil tip has been broken - and will require replacement. Replacement Pencil tips are available from Apple:

However, with the Pencil having been dropped, the transducer element that interacts with the iPad screen (located beneath the Pencil tip) may have suffered damage. If the transducer or Pencil has suffered damage, the only remedy is replacement of the Pencil itself.


You might be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assess and test your Apple Pencil:
