Time and date are greyed out on my iMac
My time and fate are greyed out, how can I fix this? See screenshot,

Do you have Do Not Disturb enabled?

Click on the icon next to the date and see if Focus is highlighted.
If so, click it.
Like this, but want to take off the focus icon from menu bar>
Open System Settings > Control Center. Change "Focus" to "Don't Show in Menu Bar".

Since you removed the Focus icon from the menu bar, the clock dims to let you know you have Do Not Disturb enabled.

how do i keep it from dimming then?
By putting the Focus icon back in the menu bar. Those are the only two options.

You're welcome. Of course if you don't enable "Do Not Disturb", the clock wont dim even without the Focus icon in the menu bar.
