Possible malware on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Hi,

I was scrolling on Facebook using my iPhone 15 Pro Max when I saw a post about a topic i'm interested in. The post had text but the end of it showed a See More... part which I assumed showed as the entire post wasn't able to be shown. I clicked the See More assuming it'd be safe as this was all within the Facebook app for iPhone (NOT safari). When I clicked the See More it displayed a genuine looking popup saying my iPhone was infected with malware.

My question is basically could my iPhone really be infected? I've got 2 factor authentication enabled, Account Recovery contacts added, changed my Apple ID password, Cleared all safari web history and data for the past hour that this all occurred and restarted my iPhone.

I normally don't click on links or anything but since this was within the official Facebook app and only displayed as a See More instead of an actual link I assumed it was safe. Just want to be safe so figured i'd ask the Apple community incase anyone can comfort me in letting me know if my iPhone is safe or not and if there is anything I may have missed.

Many thanks,

Bradley

If you are at all worried, I can save you hours on the phone w Apple. If you have your data backed up just wipe your phone, that is what Apple will tell you once you find an anomaly or if you continue to have annoyances. If it’s backed up (iCloud device backup) you can start there, if the weird behavior continues, then you take your data (hopefully backed up redundantly, hard drive or other method online!?) and then don’t use an iCloud phone backup then you are safer yet rebuilding your phone from scratch down load each app and then not using any iCloud data that you don’t need ( from iCloud or phone storage—!! be careful you probably need some things like WhatsApp!! and maybe Authenticors!!! Maybe networking stuff, you have mentioned Music stuff and potentially financial or educational stuff you don’t want to turn off iCloud data for those
