airdrop is missing from my general settings in ios 17.1

Airdrop is no longer coming up when I try to share a photo. I tried going to settings > general > airdrop but that is missing as well. I tried searching airdrop under settings and nothing comes up. When I pull down from the top right corner and hold the network icon the Airdrop receiving button is off. Even if I click on it nothing happens. Any suggestions?
