I dropped my MacBook Pro:13-inch, M2, 2022

I accidentally dropped my MacBook Pro from my bed, which is about 17 cm high, onto the tiled floor. My MacBook Pro is encased in a plastic protective cover, but I'm feeling concerned. Is it likely that my MacBook Pro is still in good condition ?, or should I be prepared for the possibility of hidden internal damage that isn't immediately apparent? I do not see any apparent damage, screen looks fine, Touch Bar looks fine.

Since you cannot correctly determine internal physical damage without opening up the unit, I stand by my recommendation to have Apple examine the device or you might run into warranty and/or Applecare issues later.

Don't forget to make a backup before taking it in.

You can run diagnostics yourself. Use this link:

In addition you can run Disk First Aid to see if there is any drive damage:

Other than that there would be no way to determine any damage and as long as you are not experiencing any issues then I would not worry about it.
