Bought Apple gift card didn’t need

It “sounds” like you were maybe only “partially” scammed and that you still have the gift card(s) still with their full value.

If so, they need to be protected like cash … if they are ever lost or stolen, their value is lost to you forever.

So to be safe, redeem them to your AppleID for safekeeping, their value will remain on your AppleID until you decide to spend it.
