Generally the camera isn’t what causes the issue with charging using a vehicle’s wireless charging pad (I assume this is what you mean when you say charging station). It’s often the size of the space in relation to the size of the phone or the location of the charging coils not lining up with the iPhone and charging pad. Assuming you’re not having an issue that’s related to something else (like an iOS bug, a hardware issue with the phone or the charging pad, etc) you can try changing the direction you put the phone on the pad (sometimes better coil lineup). It’s been a long time since any iPhone hasn’t had the camera bump yet most still charge fine wirelessly. Unfortunately though…every time there is a change in any phones size and coil location it’s at risk for having issues with various charging pads since once they are made they don’t tend to have much wiggle room to accommodate the change…especially the ones in cars if the space is tight and you can’t move the phone around to try and align.
You didn’t say what car you have but there appears to be a known issue for some BMW and I think a specific Toyota model. No fix as of yet.
