Unable to access weather app on watch after installing WatchOS 10.1

Since installing watchOS 10.1 I have been unable to access the weather app on my watch (S5). I can only get to the first screen showing the temperature in the middle, but not any further. Tapping or swiping does not bring out the "hour wheels" like it used to.

I've tried resetting the privacy and location settings as suggested from Apple, but this did not change anything.

Then i unpaired/reset my watch + restored it from backup - ufortunately this did not help either.

Anyone else experiencing this? And has anyone found a solution?
