iTunes Content Dispute

Hello, I found your link on the page; however, your page suggests that the info I provide will be shared with the party who uploaded my music, "so the provider can contact you directly"

Well, that sounds good: however, that assumes the person / entity who uploaded the music would be forthright, and say "Oh no, I'm so sorry, I will remove it." The truth of the matter is that the music can stay up there, but it just needs to correct author / contributor / artist to receive the credit. How can I find out who uploaded it, rather than wait around for the goodness in someone's heart to respond to me? What if they just ignore the email that you send them? What's my recourse then? I still don't know who uploaded it. How can I get their info to send them a cease / desist letter or a lawsuit? Your current method is shrouded in secrecy. What can be done other than "hope" the party responds?

Drumming Dad,

We can't speak to why Apple exactly has that policy, but I imagine no company wants to reveal the account information of others on the basis of a claim that they themselves do not vet. However, if you have a claim and the party is not responsive, your next step is to consult legal counsel about an appropriate course of action.
