Many apps not showing up Menu Bar

Macbook Pro 2021. Many app icons fail to show in the menu bar. Apps include Dropbox, Bose Updater, and more.

Tried uninstall and reinstall of affected apps, nothing works. The apps are successfully installed on my computer, but the icons (which are critical to use the apps) don't show up in the menu bar, making the apps unusable. Esp. Dropbox.

I'm having that problem with my MacBook Air but when I connect it to a large monitor, the missing Dropbox app is visible on the menu bar. It's only missing on my MacBook display. The same thing happens with three other apps. Frustrating when not using my desk!

That's not true actually. Dropbox is installed ("properly") and folders are visible. Clicking the app icon (in Launchpad etc.) opens my Dropbox folders. However, the icon at the top menu bar which is critical to administer synced Dropbox account is not visible. Hasn't been for weeks. I've updated MacOS, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox. Similarly with the Bose app, they require use through the top menubar icon, but since it doesn't appear for me, I can't use the Bose app.
