Where did it stop working on the iPhone or Mac? You can delete and re add a new face ID in Settings>Face ID and passcodes
Not if you replaced the motherboard in the phone; a new motherboard is essentially a new phone, and it won’t mate via the encrypted true-depth camera connection.

My second option was eliminate/ make rid/ bin/ change your iPhone if you read my reply, as Apple clearly didn’t fix it, because for Apple to fix a faulty motherboard would mean to exchange the iPhone. So following your reply it'd imply Apple didn't fix the problem exchanging the iPhone but third parties fixing the iPhone
As I said, Face ID will be disabled because the replaced motherboard won’t pair with the camera, so you can’t make a new Face ID.
Apple didn’t even try to fix it. The original poster replaced the motherboard, not Apple. Apple doesn’t replace any parts in a phone other than the screen and battery. All other “repairs” are done by replacing the phone and sending the defective phone to a depot to be refurbished or recycled if unrepairable.
I change like I have fixed it like in I took my iPhone to the repair shop? Or I changed it like me myself? How many people do you know that can change the motherboards to iPhones and be able to turn them on again? You don't know, a few confusing words. Besides if it's that the only option is discard it
Hello ~ Why are we arguing about this? I personally know several people that have done their own work on iPhones with no issues. I take what the Author is saying a face value… “I changed my motherboard” is pretty straightforward in my opinion especially followed by “my Face ID stop working”

There’s a lesson to be learned there.

Indeed so you make a new face ID as a new iPhone or you bin your iPhone
Perfect so my second option is more appropriate

Except that it won’t work, otherwise it is perfect.
The Author didn't say anything particular to think about that. And if it's a third party fix as I said my second option is surely the most appropriate, yes I missed the recycling ;}
Hello~ The Author said…”I changed my motherboard”

I'm not arguing it's you that keep replying to me instead to answering the Author, none of you said anything to the Author just to me that to be honest I don't have a refurbished do it myself iPhone
Hello once more~ Well…you carry on and take care.
