Scanner accessories do not appear on Mac mini with macOS Sonoma?

I recently got a Mac mini which runs Sonoma. When I go to Printers and Scanners I only see printer. There is no option for scanning. Apple refers me to Dell(scanner manufacturer)and Dell refers me to Apple. The scanner worked fine with Big Sur on MacBook Pro. Has anyone had a similar problem and what is the best fix

If you have a Dell printer/scanner that is AirPrint-compatible, you might be able to use AirPrint to hook up printing and scanning functions without the need for a separate Dell driver.

There's also VueScan. If you know the Dell scanner's model number, you can search on their site to see whether their scanner application supports that scanner on the Mac.
