Find my phone

I recently set up an iPhone 12 for my son

we added him to our family sharing and he shows up

but anytime he leaves the house it doesn’t track him

why

Does this occur

Find my iPhone not working Like the title says. Every setting is in order but yet it just can't find my iPhone or any of my children's or wife's phone. I have checked setting over and over and they are all good. Damn I miss Steve Jobs.

You say you set up a Family Sharing group. Did you also set up location sharing in Find My?
