Permanently locked out of my iPad

Pretty sure my iPad’s toast, but I figured I’d post here as a last ditch effort. Anyway, my problem started two or three days ago when it started getting really bad ghost touching. The ghost touching made it impossible to even get into my iPad, as it would result in a random number getting typed in place of the password. I thought I could just shut it down and try again. Big mistake. To get to the point, I’m permalocked out of my iPad and it can’t connect to Wi-Fi due to me previously shutting it down. So I can’t factory data reset it from another device. Any tips? :’)

You don’t need Wi-Fi to restore a disabled iPad, but there is no point in restoring it if it has a bad screen digitizer (that’s what causes “ghost touch”).

However, in rare instances, if the ghost touch only happens when the iPad is plugged in, that can be caused by a bad lightning cable. If this might be the problem try restoring using a computer and a different cable→If you forgot your iPad passcode - Apple Support
