Podcasts not appearing in Listen Now, but visible in Latest Episodes

This issue is affecting my experience as a long time Apple user. The original Podcast app (one key reason for using Apple) was more robust than the current app sharing a code base across IOS 17.1, iPadOS 17.1, and macOS Sonoma 14.1.


I am having to check Latest Episodes to find out if there are podcasts to listen to, instead of Listen Now, as the podcasts are not synchronised between these two views. It never used to be like that and the quality of experience has regressed.


I hope someone takes a look at this app, and fixes this issue.


Right now, I prefer to use the podcast app on my old iPad Air running 15.6 as it is more consistent and reliable.

Thank you for letting me know that I am not alone. I started with the iPod as my introduction to Apple as I wanted to listen to podcasts. The iPod was the most convenient way of access to this new world of information dissemination.


Now feel abandoned as a loyal Apple user. Have witnessed continued neglect of this app and a poorer user experience over these many years.

yes i cant go back to a recently played podcast easily. I have no "Listen NOw" button on the bottom where those are supposed to be. I have a "Home" button, but it's not useful. Spent 30 minutes now trying to fiure out why.. Updated modern imac and Iphone 14 "pro" updated . makes no sense to not have a recently played feature. instead of clicking through to the show-episode etc. anyone have solution?
