How can I get a list of my Photos in the Photos App
In Aperture you could look at your photos in a list view but I can't seem to find how you can do this in Photos.
MacBook, macOS 10.12

There isn't a way to do it. Photos is not and was never intended to be a replacement for Aperture. You don't replace an $80 app with a freebie.
You can get a list view with PowerPhotos, here:

Thanks for the quick reply. I have been using powerphotos and it's fantastic. You are correct that Photos isn't a replacement for Aperture and I had no choice to use Photos once Apple dumped their professional solution. There are other solutions but Apple does have some clever stuff that other don't have. It's shame they dropped such a great product. Photos lacks so many simple things but it is still a good product and to be honest I mainly use it for personal photos now.
Glad to be of help:

You did actually, and several of the alternative apps offer a migration path from Aperture (and indeed iPhoto and Photos) and there are even 3rd party apps that will migrate you from one to another. And yes, while Apple have some clever stuff so do the other guys, and given that you would be paying for their products, some are very clever indeed.
Yes I agree apple does have some clever stuff. I've loved the tech that Apple provides and others now try and follow.
I couldn't find anything at the time but that was a while ago to be honest.
I'm with Photos now and that seems to do most of what I want. I love the fact all your photos sync across devices.
If Photos does what you want it to do, and you're happy with that, then that is good. But apps like Lightroom CC and Mylio also offer syncing across devices, with more fine control. And superior sharing possibilities - but then, you're paying money for the service so it ought to.
And that is the genius of Apple design of its product line. You buy the hardware, they give free software that's "good-enough-for-a-lot-of-things" to support your use of the hardware and their services. But they leave space for better software aimed at the user with higher demands, to be supplied by 3rd party developers. Pages is great if you're writing a college essay or designing a flyer. If you're doing a Ph D you'll need Word, Nisus Writer or Mellel for that scale and fine control. So too with Photos. If you're shooting with an iPhone and sharing with friends and family, then it's great. But if you're a pro shooter there is space on the Mac for Lightroom and all the other apps aimed at the more demanding user.
