Yesterday I was looking for information on a person and came across a death notice. I clicked on it knowing that they had been ill. I got a notice that I was on an infected website and to click on the logo to scan now. I did not, instead I shut the page down. Now I am getting notices in the corner of my screen showing my iCloud is being hacked, my system is hacked. My history showed TotalAVSecurity before I deleted past history. I am still getting these notices. Attaching screenshots of warning. How do I get rid of this. Should I get an antivirus?

Turning off notifications in the System Settings won't fix this issue. You need to turn off notifications directly in Safari's settings.

A site you visited has given itself permission to send push notifications. Everything you're seeing is nothing but a scam.

Open Safari's preferences. Click on the Websites tab and then scroll down to Notifications. Clear any entries in the right hand window. You might find something similar in the Pop-up Windows heading below that. Block any you don't recognize.

Then if you want, uncheck the box below as shown here.

I personally can't think of any reason why I would ever want any website to push notices to me.
