my focusrite 4i4 gen3 gets disconnected

I've been able to record a bunch of times with my gen 3 4i4 Focusrite but now, when i push record button. it says The last selected audio interface is not available.

Unfortunately I upsted my OS to Catalina and seems there's problems.

Version 10.15.7 Mac OS Catalina

GarageBand 10.3.4 Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 "Initializing Core Audio"? I have a macbook Pro 2019 model running macOS Monterey 12.5. When I use GarageBand 10.3.4 connecting a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, I get frequent interruptions of "Initializing Core Audio" popup message. When this happens the recording signal coming from the Scarlett is interrupted. This ruins that section of the recording. Usually I record that whole track over again, I am creating 60 or 90 second guitar tracks, so redoing the whole track has been best.The "Initializing Core Audio" popup clears very quickly, a second or so. doesn't seem to have a root cause. I've tried selecting the input to be the focusrite input 1 and focusrite input 2. The problem seems to keep happening. Does any one have any tips to help fix this?

Final Cut Pro 11.1.1 Not saving voice over recordings I am currently running Final Cut Pro 11.1.1 on a MacBookPro running Sequoia 15.3.2 as the Operating System. In addition the computer's hard drive, I connect two Samsung external hard drives where I store most of my video clips as well as they provide more storage capacity for the computer/FCP to use while rendering a project. Attached is a screenshot of how I have my libraries configured. I just tried to do a voice-over recording, and FCP loses the file when I press the stop button. It just vanishes! I have already done the following: I restarted the computer. I confirmed that FCP is allowed to use the microphone in my system preferences. This has never been an issue until I "upgraded to 11.1. Logic pro x not working with focusrite scarlett 4i4 Hello, I'm experiencing a problem with my Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 (3rd Gen) when used with Logic Pro X. Interestingly, it works perfectly with GarageBand. Both applications are running under the same hardware and software configurations, but for some reason, Logic Pro X just doesn't cooperate. My system info: MacOS Ventura 13.4 Logic Pro X 10.7.8 Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 - 3rd Gen Here's the issue: When I use Logic Pro X, I only manage to get some guitar sounds in, but they're very poor and distorted (note: I'm not using any pedals or external hardware here). While the input meter appears to show good levels of input, the quality of the recorded sound is unacceptable. I can only get some input on Channel 1 from the Focusrite, and that's regardless of the input selection in Logic Pro X. However, the recorded sound is not usable. Strangely, there is absolutely no input from Channel 2 of the Focusrite on any inputs in Logic Pro X. Here are the steps I've already tried to fix the problem: Checked Focusrite Control settings - everything seems fine, and as stated before, GarageBand works without any issues. Reinstalled Logic Pro X. Reset audio interfaces, including a full audio unit reset.
