How to disable recent timers on iPhone (iOS17)

How to disable recent timers on iPhone (iOS17) because it has many recents timers on my phone and I'm too lazy to remove it often. It's really annoying! so I want to see the round timers, not recents!!

I Think Apple needs to fix this! Thanks.

Unfortunately, there is no way to turn this “feature “ off at the present time. And you realize that Apple will never remove a feature that they provided. I totally agree that this feature is very annoying and useless for most of us, so the best thing to do is to give Apple your thoughts on this feature. Write to Apple at www.apple.com/feedback. The more people who write and ask for a way to turn this feature off, the sooner it may happen. And remember in the future to write about anything that you feel needs improvement. Apple is nothing without us, the users, so voice your opinions!!! Thank you!!!

why did they not put a toggle switch!

No one here in this user-to-user forum can answer why Apple does or does not do something. Nor does Apple read here for feedback or suggestions. You can, however, let Apple know what you'd like to see here:

When you start a timer and it shows up followed by a list of recents, just tap the timer you are running and it switches to the big round timer. When it finishes you can repeatedly start the same again and see only the big round timer. This isn’t saved but works for my situation where I am using the same timer for a series of exercises.

I'm not a fan of the new timer. If you're going to update a feature - always include the option to hide the or turn-off the update. Some are going to like it and some aren't. The designers and engineers know this and I have to wonder who squashed the "opt-out" button. I remember when Apple prided itself on their simplicity.

I read somewhere you can delete it and re-add and maybe somehow get the previous version, but I haven’t tried it yet. It’s mobile apps so that doesn’t sound like it would work to me.

I haven’t tried it yet bc it’s a basic timer app. I don’t want to spend serious time trying to fix a messy timer app. I just don’t.

perhaps to call Apple and ask for a download of the previous if possible. Ugh.

This feature legitimately drives me insane. I’m about to download a NON Apple timer. Which is awful. or get a mechanical one which is ok. I can get like a cute chicken one and keep it in my pocket or something. I don’t know. I’m actually serious I can’t handle the saved timer junk.

I can remember when the first iPods came out, first iPhones all that. This. Is. The. WORST. Feature. EVER!!!!

the auto saved timers (bc I am NOT the one saving them…) don’t even have any organization, it’s just jumbled in there. Even if they were organized I wouldn’t use them. It’s a pure cluttery annoyance.

I mean it logs all the timers you set for like “oh just like 2 more minutes on my banana bread…” and now that sucker is saved until I delete it !!! It’s junky!!!

I’m glad other people hate it bc I really really hate it.

multiple timers would have been cool, but this is really really, really irritating. Everytime I use the app: “why”… and I have to delete the clutter. Similar emotion to clutter emails. Very annoying.

For the love of basic organization principles… why. Is there not a toggle to turn it off.

why did they not put a toggle switch!

(I don’t want to know the answer)

perhaps the Apple overlords deem this feature so essential and perfect they felt everyone must learn to love it in all its clutter bc they say so.

anyways I’m finally fed up with it and getting rid of it if there is no other solution. It’s so junky. I can’t believe no option to toggle it off that’s just poor design thinking.

I dunno it’s finally irritated me into investing time into it lol.
