Hello,

it's should be OK but for battery health and iPhone health (heating) I wouldn't recommend doing it often. You always can use a Samsung 15 watt charger (be advised that for quick charge you will need charger with 20 watt minimum).

If your phone is heating to the point that you’re getting that message then I would be more concerned about if something else is going on. Using a higher watt charger will still only allow the phone to charge at its predetermined max capability. If can’t draw more power just because the charger is a higher watt but it will be able to charge at its max fast charging rate. Apple literally states you can use a higher power adapter “like the one that came with your Mac laptop” in the following link. So you should probably have Apple inspect your device if you are getting that message from charging with the very adapter they say you can indeed use.

Yep basically it is Apple Authorized Adaptor so it may not affect the battery...that was my initial thought..unfortunately in my case i can say it's getting too hot during the charging, and couple of times it showed “Charging on hold due to the temperature message”...so it matters... Whatever one thing is that heat is not so good for batteries and it can impact in long run Anyway, i‘m sticking with my Type A Samsung Charger And my Carplay Mfi Certified Lighting cable from Amazon basics...Thanks for the comment bro!
