My guess is that Apple will not offer you a gift card – only the chance to recycle your 11" MacBook Air for free. The 11" MacBook Airs came out between Late 2010 and Early 2015. All of them have now been discontinued for 7 years or more, which means that Apple considers them Obsolete and no longer offers hardware repair service for them.
