Apple Migration from old MacBook Air to new MacbookPro does not work

I start up the migration app on the MacBook Air than I do similar in the new MacbookPro

The MacbookPro is recognizing the MacBook Air when I want to start the transfer of data the message in my new MacBookPro is that there is no communication possible. How to solve?

Why? Maybe, you may have missed a step.


According to Apple:

Before you begin

  • Update the software on both computers, if possible.
  • Make sure that both computers have Wi-Fi turned on and are near each other. If either of them is using OS X El Capitan or earlier, they should also be on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • If you installed antivirus software, firewall software, or VPN software, turn that software off until you're done.
