Automatic Private Browser

Why does my iPhone automatically open private browser when I click on Safari? I’ll look something up with the regular Safari (not private mode), close the Safari app when finished, then the next time I open safari, it’s on the private browsing page??

I’ve tried shutting down and restarting and it’s still happening.

How can I permanently disable Private Browsing on my iPhone 14 Safari? I would like to permanently disable private browsing on my iPhone 14. The iOS is 18.4.1 and I already have content restrictions on. For some reason, private browsing is still enabled even after turning on content restrictions. To clarify, I am not talking about switching between private browsing and regular browsing, I am asking to completely disable my phone from having the option of private browsing.
