Macbook screen darker

so my macbook has one of those green lines thats not that noticeable but when i open the screen smaller than the L shape its normal brightness but if i open it anymore than that the screen darkens and cant see as much would i need a screen replacement or?

Macbook Air Screen with dark vertical line on side My mac's screen has this dark area on the right side of the screen. It appeared one day and has happened two other times now. It begins flickering a bit and randomly appears and disappears. If I stay on a screen too long, whatever was on the screen gets 'burned' into the affected area (look at the image attached, you can see the dropdown button burned into it). Does anyone know what the cause of it is and how to get it fixed? Edit: Restarting the laptop does not make it go away.

MacBook Air screen showing yellowish tint and dark grey spot So idk, but since few days I have been seeing a yellowish screen only 15% of the screen is like that other side it’s normal I will attach the picture. I need to know the solution for it. If you see there’s a dark grey thing which is coming on the screen [Re-Titled by Moderator]

If the backlight goes out when you open or move the lid, then it indicates the Display Assembly will need replaced. I'm guessing you most likely have a 2016 - 2019 USB-C MBPro which had a design flaw with the display cable. No, there are no free repair programs.
