Auto format paste content from web stopped working after upgrading to Sonoma in Numbers

After upgrading to Sonoma 14.1, auto formatting of copied content from web to Numbers stopped working.

Used to copy my bank statements to Numbers, but now they don't format correctly.

Anyone else facing this issue?

Not 100% sure its a Numbers issue.

It's probably a bug in the current version of Numbers. It's been talked about a lot here, particularly when getting data from Google sheet. Let's hope they fix it soon.

For the moment, do not select any table by clicking in the white space around. Then paste, which will create a new table with data properly laid out, from which you can copy to your usual table if you need to.

Sure, I guess its best explained in pictures.

Used to be able to copy content in html table format and paste to Numbers and somehow it'll format it correctly to the individual columns.

But now only the date appears and the formatting is wrong.

Suspect its a Numbers or Sonoma thing, cause the same thing happened to another website that I used to copy from.
