Sonoma Safari autofill search bar
Before Sonoma, Safari worked easily. If I began typing a URL, it would use the basic URL, and the world was great. Now, in Sonoma, despite the fact that I do NOT have "include Safari suggestions" checked in [Safari -> Settings -> Search], it insists on filling the search bar with things from my bookmarks. It's NEVER done this before, and does NOT do it on Macs without Sonoma.
Example: I used to be able to type "amazon.com + [enter]" and go to amazon's main page. Now, in Sonoma, when I begin typing "amazon" it autocompletes with a giant URL from some product or other that I bookmarked.
I do NOT want to erase all of my bookmarks... I just want them when I purposely invoke them... I NEVER want Safari rummaging through, SUGGESTING things. I ONLY use Private Browsing, so there is NO HISTORY. I use Cookie to remove all cookies and website data upon quit.
I'm a hair away from abandoning Safari for good.
While I appreciate help, please don't tell me to delete my bookmarks. That is NOT a solution. This works pre-Sonoma, perfectly.
